Cryo Man is a Robot Master from Mega Man Revolution. He is an ice-type Robot Master who was stationed in aided in Cryogenic research at a lab that used the extreme cold of the environment around them to aid in their experiments. In addition to his Knight Man-esque mace, Cryo Man wields the Ice Shard. This launches an icy laser that Haste Man is weak to.
In his spare time, Cryo Man enjoys colouring books. Despite having completed many, no one has ever seen him actually partaking in his hobby. He is rather dumb, and has a dislike towards math tests.
Physical Appearance[]
Cryo Man slightly resembles Slumbo from Mixels with his cyan egg-shaped body. He has a white glove on his right hand. His left arm is what carries his mace. His face is dominated by a large eye with a black sclera and (in his artwork) a pale diamond-shaped pupil. His shoulders have cyan spires of ice. He later gets Redesigned in Remix by Blackhook, where Cryo Man was given a much more Ogre-like look, as his hand is replaced with a arm cannon that shoots out the Ice Shard
Battle[]
Cryo Man attacks with his mace and may sometimes fire his Ice Beam. If Cryo Man hits the walls of his arena, blocks will be destroyed, which causes the ceiling to collapse. The ceiling does not actually crush Rock, but does force him to push through Cryo Man, which makes a no-damage run impossible unless Cryo Man has lost a significant amount of his stamina. He is weak to the Fire Seeker. The ceiling does not revert when he falls, however, instead continuing to remain in the position it was when Cryo Man loses his last health point.
Cryo Man returns in Wily 6, with his room being accessed via the teleporter on the right, close to the centre of the room.
Trivia[]
- He is the only Robot Master from Mega Man Revolution to have a single eye.
- The fact that Cryo Man is weak to the Fire Seeker could be due to fire melting ice.
- Cryo Man is the only boss to have an unavoidable attack. However, this only happens when his ceiling has collapsed to just above his head.
- In Remix, where Cryo Man's HP was drained, one of the Ice Blocks would end up dropping on his head like an Anvil, Cryo Man would later get up as Against Unmeasurable Odds would play before he Explodes
- Strangely. Cryo Man was originally gonna have Two Eyes due to a complaint about RMs having cycloptic eyes, it was reverted later on
- In the Robot Master Redesigns - Phase 1 page, Cryo Man was originally gonna have Valo's design, but due to Blackhook being the winner of Cryo's redesign. Valo's design of Cryo Man would later end up being converted into Toxic Man from Mega Man Y+1
