Bass, known as Forte (ベース /bæs/ フォルテ Forute) in Japan, is the main villain of the original Megaman game series. by his robot creator/created, Doctor Wily. is a name shared by many species of fish. The term encompasses both freshwater and marine species, all belonging to the large order Perciformes, or perch-like fishes. The word bass comes from Middle English bars, meaning "perch".[1]

Bass appears as a playable character in the Mega Maker, he can Dash and shoot upwards and Down Right. He has one Toggle option: Double Jump.

Bass appears as a skin and at the end of chapter 6 in the award ceremony (the red room near where Oil Man is standing) Maestro wonders if he was in the tournament. But he was just a spectator. After the demise of Gamma, he tells Maestro to lick his wound and will defeat him once at full strength. Taunting him saying see you around Champion. He is later the villain of Chapter 7 which funnily enough, his debut appearance.
