The Loathe Family (ロース一家 Rōsu ikka?) is a group of air pirates in the Mega Man Legends series led by Lex Loath.

In Mega Man Legends 2, the group became the Glyde Gang, known as the Glyde Family (グライド一家 Guraido ikka?) in Japan. As Loath's cameo in the game implies that he passed away, Glyde took over his place as the leader of the family. The Glyde Gang's base is in Calbania Island. When Verner Von Bluecher uses the Sulphur-Bottom to find the Mother Lode, the Glyde Gang formed an alliance with the Bonne Family and the pirate brothers Bola and Klaymoor to obtain the Mother Lode for themselves. After hearing about the four keys needed to obtain the Mother Lode, they go in different islands to obtain the keys, Glyde sending his Birdbots to Nino Island. After Mega Man Volnutt helps the island to repel the invaders and destroy Glyde's base, Glyde decides to attack the island personally with his main ship, King Glydon. With Roll Caskett's help, the King Glydon is taken down by the Parabola Gun, ending their attack. The Glyde Gang later works with the Bonne Family to create the Gemeinschaft and use it in Calinca. When Glyde's car is heavily damaged, the Bonne Family detaches it from their car before it explodes, also ending their alliance.

Toonwriter's Universe[]

It is soon revealed that Glyde and his gang barely survived the explosion, and they vowed vengeance on both Mega Man and the Bonne Family. From that day forward, Glyde decided to form his own organization, changing the group's name to the Loathe Family, as tribute to Lex Loath. He did it with the help of his partner and co-founder, Tom Barrack.

Members[]

  • Tom Barrack: The co-founder of the new Loathe Family, and the superior mastermind.
  • Glyde Loathe
  • Dark MegaMan: Also known as MegaMan Barrack.
  • Cyberclops: Also known as Vince Howard; Terry Jones's replacement.
  • Nereza: A female Kim Possible lookalike who's similar in looks, skills and abilities to Shego. She is the female counterpart of Tron Bonne.
  • Spiros: A red Storm Eagle lookalike, one of two big and ruthless Birdbots.
  • Crolus: A blue Blaze Heatnix lookalike, one of two big and ruthless Birdbots and Spiros's brother.
  • Zaros Tokimasa: A cyborg firebender who shows no mercy or pity to those he finds inferior or weak.
  • Vorgan: A lone Handyman wearing Vox Populi attire. He is the counterpart of Bon Bonne.
  • Dr. Surge: A cyborg with the power of electrokinesis.
  • Birdbots
  • Catbots
  • Master Wargo: A supercomputer in the shape of a giant humanoid Reaverbot, created to control and facilitate the construction of the Glyde Sentinels.

Birdbots[]

Birdbots are numerous spiteful and two-faced bird-like beings from the Mega Man Legends series that work for the Loathe Family. Unlike the Servbots, which are faithful and caring to the Bonne family, the Birdbots are troublemakers who like complaining about others behind their backs. It's officially unknown how many Birdbots exist. It may likely be about twice the number of Servbots.

Catbots[]

Catbots are equally as numerous as Birdbots. They're red cat-like robots that work for the Loathe Family. Like the Birdbots, the Catbots cause trouble for others, and yet, they're completely loyal to Dark Megaman and Tom Barrack.

Glyde Sentinels[]

Glyde Sentinels are giant robots that work for the Loathe Family. They are technologically advanced, and have exhibited a wide variety of abilities. They are armed (primarily with energy weapons and restraining devices), capable of flight, and can detect any target at long range. They possess vast physical strength, and their bodies are highly resistant to damage. Some are able to alter their physical forms or re-assemble and reactivate themselves after they have been destroyed. The Glyde Sentinels are created by a giant Reaverbot known as Master Wargo.

Former Members[]

  • Terry Jones: Known as the Winter Alchemist. One day, after dealing with enough abuse and insults along with being left to suffer at the hands of an enemy, Terry snapped with rage, enough to turn on Glyde and join the Light Family. In fact, he consumed the Snow-Snow Devil Fruit to gain its powers. Fortunately for him, his robot body was built for swimming, even with the Devil Fruit powers.
  • Bayatron: It was supposed to be the ultimate weapon created by Glyde and Tom, and it was originally supposed to have the artificial intelligence developed by them to eradicate whomever they want, but with the help of the Bonnes, Terry stole the Bayatron robot and have it be permanently possessed by the ghost of Lester Stillwell as his new body. Happy to be and feel reborn, Lester now lives with Terry as his little brother with the functions of the Bayatron robot.
