Kasen Ibaraki is a "one-armed horned hermit" from Gensokyo that happened to move to Monsteropolis for the winter. She appears in the Otaka Mega Man Shorts as a supporting character.
History[]
Kasen lived as a hermit on Youkai Mountain since 1980. She lost her arm during that time, and replaced it with an artifical one. She devised many things, including the Ibaraki Box of a Hundred Medicines. Later, she hung out around the Hakurei Shrine with Reimu Hakurei and her friends.
One winter, Gensokyo was too cold for Kasen and the other citizens to live in. So they migrated west to a city called Monsteropolis. They spent the winter there, celebrating Christmas and New Years with Mega Man and his robot friends until it was time to go back home to Gensokyo. During this time, Kasen developed a crush on Bass, but never had her feelings returned. Kasen still thinks fondly of him.
Personality[]
Kasen is kind and polite to everyone, except those who she knows are villains. She likes to criticize people for their actions, and will teach people a lesson if she thinks they need one. Kasen has a crush on Bass due to his appearance and voice, and she even likes his personality a bit. When it was time to leave Monsteropolis, Kasen gave everyone friendly farewells.
Abilities[]
Kasen has the ability to cure people of injuries and illnesses using the Ibaraki Box of a Hundred Medicines and the ability to crush vengeful spirits using her bandaged arm, which she used to cure Mega Man of Evil Energy. She also has a pet eagle that she can use to fly from place to place. She has a true form she can't reveal for fear it'd be too strong, but she plans on revealing it one day to impress Bass.

- If Kasen is really a hermit, she can eat food, something hermits over the age of 500 can't.
